The ch. are booked into the YMCA Lakeside for daycamps on Aug 4th so will be at mum's all week hope to catch up with you then and we are house swapping with them for a few days later in Aug as our hol this year so by that time you'll have had enough of us for a while!
I am not sure where you are exactly at the present moment but presume that you have left NZ by now.
I hope Rowan had a great birthday. Sorry for not leaving many meassages but the technology seems abit too difficult for me!! In other words I just don't know how to work it! We have left a couple of emails, but I am not sure wether you have received them or even if the address is correct. We have just come back from a week away in Rosie. Part of it in Devon and a few days in the New forest. You will be pleased to hear that she is going very sweetly, with no problems at all. We are hoping to get in a few weekends before your return. Owen has some pictures to email to you and also I have my brothers address in California for you, just in case you happen to be nearby! I will email them and hope for the best!
We have been following your reports with interest and looking at all the pictures, well not all of them, but quite a few. The Cook islands sound wonderfull. Did Rowan and Eleanor ride on the back of the mopeds? It all sounds fun but It's just not fair! we are all working hard here!
Keep up the good 'work' and take care. Not sure why you have to go to all this trouble for a holiday. We've just returned from a week in Wales. It rained every day but we didn't let that spoil our fun. We did some coasteering and surfing and carried our (your) bikes all the way there on the car roof and went out on them once. Still I enjoyed the rows with Nicola and complaints from the children.

I've passed my motorbike test, it means I can go out and get a 1000cc monster if I want to. I sneer and scoff at you on your mopeds. Although slightly envious as to how easy it was for you to be allowed to ride them. I had to do an intensive 4 day course. So I dress like a power-ranger now, although still on my scooter, so it doesn't quite look right.

I've just returned from doing the White Rose Classic which is an 85 mile cycling sportive around the Dales (you probably won't remember what they are). It was very hot and hilly and I've decided I need a new bike as mine was the most rubbish bike in the field, several pro-like people pointed and laughed at me on it.(come home Ann, I need some back up. Nicola).

Just off to swim with dolphins (in the bath, we've got one of those wind up ones). After that long and chaffing bike ride, there's something that reminds me of a pair of coconuts that I need to soak.

In response to:Cook Islands Report

Come on Guys, we want More comments and e-mails!!!

In response to:Cook Islands Report

Go for it Paul!!
We had a brilliant time, lots of lovely grub and vin rouge, definitely going again next year. lots and lots of love and take care, Sue xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In response to:Cook Islands Report

Hello everyone

Great to hear from you - we have been wondering how u guys were getting on on what the cook isles were like. Have looked on the globe to locate you so know where u are now!

Sounds brill - white sands and palm trees - I don't need to know any more - it sounds just my kinda place!

Pity about the rain tho - esp on the back of a moped - good job u haven't packed your straighteners girls - your hair would be a frizzy mess!!

I am afraid to say according to the Cook Islands Tourist site we have been on today, it states that the rainy season is a myth and that they enjoy good weather all year round!!! We have found out that mangoes; guavas; pawpaw, bananas and coconuts grow all year round (bit like Tesco then!). We have also learnt that the land is maily volcanic and just in case u didn't know - Saturday is market day so - happy shopping!!!

A very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rowan for Sunday. We have tried to call your mobile but couldn't get thru so left a msg but don't know if u can pick it up with your NZ phone. Will try to ring again on Sun to speak to birthday boy but in case we don't get thru - know that we will be thinking of u all as u celebrate his 12th birthday!

With lots and lots of love.
I'm glad you've been finding out about my namesake Sir Edmund, although I think you'll find he spells his name with two l's. I expect you were subconsciously thinking of me and wishing I was with you in NZ! I remember being a bit alarmed by the number of people that appear to die on Mt Cook so probably a good job you stuck to the lower ground! Did you get to the Antarctic museum in Christchurch? I thought that was fantastic. I'm glad Ellie got to the chocolate factory, I hope nobody ended up with tummy ache from too many free samples. Hang on, was that the cause of your toothache?
Look forward to hearing about the Cook Islands.
Love to everyone,

great to read your updates this week on the blog. Sounds a real cool place and u r obviously thoroughly enjoying your time there - not long to go before your hol in the cook islands. Abbie & I did a bit about captain cook in social studies this week funnily enough - and - ironically enough - were paddling down at bardsea and met a woman from NZ who moved over here 10 months ago with her husband and grandchild (2) and they are absolutely loving it!

We have had brill weather here this week - already been to bardsea twice and r off again now for more ice cream! Also had a school trip to brockhole; thirlmere; dunmail raise water treatment works on tuesday for a water day which was really fab!

Anyway - beach is calling. Rather overcast this aft but v warm and not a breath of wind - David is at work all weekend - shame - but we are certainly making most of weather as u never know how long it will last!

Love to u all - hope your time in the cook isles is a blast!!

Hi world famous dolphin swimmers! I am really missing you and cannot believe it is only 10 weeks till u are on your way home again. I am absolutely thrilled that u are coming home soon. I really miss u and think about u every night - that u will be waking up to a brand new start. Grandma is already on the countdown to your return and to be honest - so am I! I am soooo jealous of u swimming with the greatest fish on earth. We have been to the beach twice this week as the weather has been smashing. I got muck up at Bardsea having a mud fight with my friends! I was tempted to splash my mum but thought I had better not! Lots of love Abbie xxxx

Eden here. Like Abbie said, I am soooo jealous of you swimming with the most amazing fishes on earth! I can't wait till u are coming back cos I really miss u. Anyway i hope u have a really nice time. McCallister has been sick yesterday. He has been very poorly but I gave him loads of medicine and now he is better. We had to take his jumper off and put it in the washing machine cos he was sick all over it. He really enjoyed his change of clothes and looked like a lady in pink jogging bottoms and a white cardi!! But now he is back in his normal jumper. He sleeps with me every night and it will be hard to give him back because I love him but I am sure he will be very pleased to come back to you.

I love u lots. We are waiting in vain for some hot, sunny weather. Our caravan holiday this Easter was very different to last years when we were sunning ourselves on Cornwall's beaches. We had a good half day at Leeds Castle in Kent when we actually had our coats off!! However the heavens opened in the afternoon and we were drenched.
We continue to be beseiged with more paper work and targets at school! Tomorrow there are interviews for a full time year 2 post whilst Natallie is on her maternity leave. Unfortunately Esther is not being interviewed. Kris's wife is pregnant and Kris continues to receive lots of teasing. Rachel and I are working well together and are pleased with our bright displays.
Paul continues to hunt for jobs across the waters. I am not keen to go yet particularly since Chloe has a Nursery place for September and would not get one over there.
Martin's wedding is the next major event on the calendar (Uncle Freddy has just celebrated his 80th at Nortcliffe golf club) which should be good as there are a lot of our friends going to it. Paul's parents are coming over to babysit!!
Well goodbye for now. We continue to miss you and remember you regularly in our thoughts and prayers.
Lots of love, Karen, Paul, Kerry and Chloe (a woof from Scampi!)xxxx

Thoroughly enjoyed the latest two entries. V informative and could set tones for your novel when you get back!

Sounds like you are having a blast! Cruise sounds crazy fun esp for the children! How on earth did u manage to get upgraded on the boat??!! Guess they must have heard how Anne Louise snores like a hippo and moved her away from heavily populated areas!

Now come on then - lets have an explanation. What have u done to your hand Jonny Boy??!! You managed to keep it fairly well hidden with your hand behind your back on most of the photies but we did spot it heavily banaged on one of them. Mum & Dad are dying to know what happened as are we!

We have come up with all sorts of possible explanations - a little over zealous on the old barbie. Or did anne push you off the bridge for a little impromptu bunjie (get those insurance policies checked Annie!) or did u just break a nail?

Answers on a post card please - keep it clean - this is a family show!

With much love from your wonderful sister and her family.
